Soprano & Performer
I’m a swiss soprano and performer from Lausanne, based in Basel. My practice focuses on the experimental exploration of the voice and the development of stage projects in which the voice is embedded within a theatrical and performative dimension. I regularly collaborate with composers and am drawn to multidisciplinary projects in which the boundaries between musical genres are flexible and blurry. I first trained as a cellist before moving to classical singing and currently enjoy exploring the contemporary music repertoire, driven by a wish of discovering new sonorities and ways of making music an innovative and engaged art form.
Viewing singing as a fundamentally collaborative practice, I’m part of the duo MO with the pianist and performer Raphaëlle Proust. With our projects, we seek to reimagine the relationship between pianist and singer through scenic and theatrical approaches and vocal works performed jointly. A few years ago, the guitarist Joan Furió Vivas and I co-created the recital Madrigalillos, combining contemporary works with traditional Spanish and South American music, which we regularly perform throughout the UK, Switzerland and Spain. During the 2025-2026 season, I was happy to collaborate with KlangLab ensemble on several occasions, and to sing with the ensemble der/gelbe/klang at the Bayerische Akademie der Schönen Künste (Munich).
I have performed at venues and festivals such as the Festival Musica (Strasbourg), the London Festival of Early Music, the Villa Margarita Music Fest (Arbúcies), the Palais Ehrbar (Vienna) and the Palazzo Corsini (Florence), where I was invited to take part in Lied the Way, hosted by Mascarade Opera. I covered the role of Elle in La Voix humaine with Midsummer Opera (London) and performed the Teenage Girl and a Mother in Dead Man Walking with Guildhall’s Opera Course.
I earned a Master in Performance with Distinction and a First-Class Bachelor with Honours at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, where I studied with David Pollard and where I was awarded the Paul Hamburger Prize by Graham Johnson. I then chose to orient my work toward contemporary music and am currently completing a Specialized Master in Creative Interpretation in New Music at the Hochschule für Musik Basel under the tutelage of Sarah Maria Sun, Yaron Deutsch, Sarah Saviet and Marcus Weiss.
Accustomed to the stage from an early age, I sang the Third Boy in The Magic Flute (W.-A. Mozart) at the Opéra de Lausanne (2015), an institution in which I subsequently performed on different occasions as a chorister. I obtained a certificat FEM in cello in 2019 and have extensive experience in choral practice, chamber music and orchestra.
